Lunch meeting with mayor Sandra Hazlehurst.

Mike Donnelly and Richard Gaddum had a 2 hour lunch meeting with the mayor of the HDC, Sandra Hazlehurst, at the beginning of March 2022. It was a very productive meeting with her telling us all that is happening in the Hastings District and for the first time, sincerely being and wanting to be very inclusive towards us from a council perspective. This is really the first time this has happened and we hope will bring the relationship with the “Save the Plains” group and the HDC much closer together, particularly with the Spatial Plan emerging as a really important planning document to take the region of all of Hawke’s Bay into the future.
