Hastings Councillor Bayden Barber makes a stand for the soils.

Over the last few months we have made the awareness to all three of our Hawke’s Bay councils (HDC, NCC and HBRC) of just how precious and valuable these soils on our Heretaunga Plains are to our economy; not only now but for generations to come.

This has been reinforced by this article in the HB Today 23rd March 2022.

Take note in the article:

"At the heart of all of this work, we also need to protect our fertile soils. We can't kill the goose that lays the golden egg," Barber said.

Obviously something is resonating..!!
